Summary: The new development to Houma’s Hospital will achieve LEED certification through sustainable stormwater techniques, solar power collection, on-site irrigation usage, and the reduction of heat island effect through paving that absorbs less heat. The hospital also features a therapeutic roof garden for cancer patients to view while in infusion.
